Competency aims

The aim of the course is the further development
of speaking, listening, reading and writing
skills.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to
-leave messages.
-book train and flight tickets, understand
timetables.
-have some knowledge of the basic distinctions
between the use of the "passé composé" and
"imparfait".
-describe persons, understand simple
directions.
-talk about the future.
-book a hotel room and pay for the room.
-make an appointment.
-talk about food, the weather, hobbies.
-understand simple texts where the topic is
familiar.
-write short messages, postcards.

Course contents

Telephone expressions, leaving messages, shopping,
leisure and hobbies, travelling,
"le passé composé" and "l'imparfait,"le futur".
