Competency aims

The aim of the course is to give the student a
basic understanding of the principles of modern
marketing in the consumer market.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student has the
ability to analyse the organisation's conditions
to act in the current market. This insight
presupposes knowledge of consumer behaviour
during the various phases of the buying process.
Essential in this context is to be able to
identify groups of individuals with similar needs
who can be satisfied both efficiently and
economically. The factors relevant in this
context can be diagnosed on the basis of the so-
called. marketing mix models. The student has a
clear understanding of how the organization's
marketing efforts and plans are implemented,
integrated, and coordinated as cost-effectively
as possible.

Course contents

Emphasis on the main points of modern marketing.
The role of marketing in the organization as well
as in society. Analysis of the nature of
marketing, concept, purchasing behaviour in
society. Understanding the importance of
competition in this context.
