Competency aims

To guide the student in selecting, performing and writing his engineering thesis.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
- select a suitable topic for his thesis
- produce an outline and table of contents for his thesis
- plan a working schedule for performing his thesis
- find and use guidelines for writing his thesis

- Thesis vs. work practice - Thesis financing

- Thesis presentation - Thesis approval process
- Being an opponent to another thesis

Prerequisites and co-requisites

The student should be ready to start his/her thesis work within the same year as the thesis seminar. This normally means having a minimum of 80 credit units by the end of the spring term.
