LEARNING OUTCOMES ? Having successfully completed this course the student will be able to:

1. Understand different processes in industrial stakeholder relationships
2. Recognise various complex industrial entities
3. Calculate the value added of stakeholders
4. Understand what is the driver of an organisation
5. Analyse information about the company
6. Analyse production or service processes in the company
7. Implement certain managerial aspects in a case organisation
8. Understand the resources and the network of the industries.
9. Understand how to take care of the resources, including employees.
10. Have an insight in what environment the organisations exist.

Objectives of the course

Contents

The objective of the course is to learn about the conditions of an industry and its different stakeholders. There are many parties involved in setting the price, producing the material or the service needed.

There are mainly three kinds of organisations, public, private and the third sector. They are different but have many things in common.

The resources of an organisation are vital. In the course the kind of resources available will be analysed and how they can be improved, e.g. employee, employer, economic, ecological, time, etc.

The course will also discuss how tripartite negotiations between employee, employer and state will evolve and why it is important.

The IMP method (Industrial Marketing and Purchsing) will be discussed and articles will be read about the aims of the research method.

The actual production and service process will also be discussed and examined, for production as well as for service purposes.

Course contents

Lectures, two assignments, one final exam.
