Competency aims

The purpose of the practical training is to
provide the
student with the possibility to apply from the
education
gathered knowledge and skills in working life and
become
familiar with central tasks within the specific
area of the field
in question. The main purpose of the practical
training is to
build an understanding of the connection of
theory and
practice, and to through examples see how theory
is applied
in practice.

Learning outcomes

Course contents

The extent of the practical training is in total
30 ects, which
corresponds to 20 weeks of full-time work. In
total, the
practical training thus comprises 800 hours of
work. The
weekly workload during the practical training
periods should
correspond to one work week for a full-time
employee; 1,5
ects generally corresponds to a workload of 40
hours/week.
Full-time work is assessed according to current
field-
specific contracts. A part-time employment is
calculated
based on that 40 hours equals a working week. One
practical training period thus comprises of 400
hours of
work.

Assessment requirements

Practical training period 1 is a general
practical training in
professional life (e.g. within commerce,
industry,
municipalities, organisations and associations).
During the
first training period basic studies are
integrated in the
practical training so that the student analyses
their
environment from the perspective of general
business
management.
