Course contents

Course introduction

Perspectives on Qualitative and Quantitative
methods some
concepts, different possibilities to conduct
business research, incl background & aim,
research questions

Topics:
-Study design: interviews, observation, focus
groups
-Qualitative
material (data)gathering of data and analysis
workshops and simulation

-Quantitative data and analysis
Survey research
Basic insights in SPSS

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A bachelor degree and at least two years work
experience gained
after completing the higher education degree.

Additional information

Coaching related to the own thesis work is a
natural part of this course.

University Press. Latest possible edition.
Additional readings are discussed and decided on
during the sessions.

To pass the course the student should pass the
following examination(s)
Essay (10-12 pages in length)
Attendance 27-28.4 (qualitative research methods)
or 29.4 plus SPSS workshop in fall or online
self-learning (quantitative methods).
The course is graded passed, not passed and
qualitative feedback is provided on the written
work.
