The aim of the course is to give the student a fundamental knowledge of the Finnish society.
Course contents
A historical perspective on the development of society in Finland.
The political system, the governmental establishment and how they function on different levels, both nationally and locally in a European context.
Municipal self-government and the municipality's obligations in providing basic services.
