Competency aims

The aim is to understand how to manage the processes in a restaurant and to identify beverage products and their connection to legislation. This course also familiarizes the student to different wine districts and the typical qualifications of wine. The aim is also to understand principles of menu planning.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to understand principles of food and drink products in different type of restaurants. The student will be familiar with legislation on this field. Knowledge of vine districts and impact och different grapes in vines, also how to arrange small events should be learned.

Examination 2. Vine district and grapes 30 p
Examination 3 Event arrangement 30p
Examination 4 Own drink 20p

(examinations include , demonstrations and presentations, reports and produktions, essays, and also presence at specified occasions)
All part must be passed

The examinations contribute to the final grade as follows: 50-59 points=1, 60-69=2, 70-79=3, 80-89=4, 90-100=5
