Competency aims

To support the student to purposefully, responsibly
and successfully be able to study at Arcada and get
a foundation for his/hers career building.
Following generic competences are emphasized in the
course: - Learning competence- Digital literacy/IT
Tools - Global competence- Ethical competence-
Communicative and social competence.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students are expected
to:
- know how to use the Arcada information channels
- be acquainted to his/hers studying plan,
profession and reflect over what the goals of the
studies are
- know different tools, methods and studying
forms
that support outcome oriented learning
- understand what autonomous learning means for
the individual learning process and for the
studying results
- be acquainted with the ethical principles
- identify his/hers qualifications in languages
- be aware of the opportunities to develop
language competence

- build a relational database system with
products, clients and invoices.
