Competency aims

The aim of the course is to explore the theory and
practice of developing and marketing applications
for Apple iPhone and Ipod Touch devices.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to
be able to be able to understand the differences
between web and native apps; and to develop web apps
for Apple iPhone and Ipod Touch devices.

Course contents

The course will
1. revise html and css;
2. explore aspects of html5 and css3;
3. develop competence in javascript and the use of
libraries, primarily JQuery;
4. create a working web app for the iPhone;
5. launch the app publicly.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Thorough knowledge and understanding of html & css;
some familiarity of javascript.
