Competency aims

The aim of the course is to present the more developed variations of manufacturing plastic products. The emphasis is still on the conditions stated by product design and raw material, and on the various forms of injection moulding.

Learning outcomes

Having successfully completed this course the student will be able to:
- plan a manufacturing process for polymer products
- choose the right material and design according to cost and load calculations
- operate the most common machines

Course contents

The most common machines for polymer processing with emphasis on injection moulding.
- the parameters of the injection moulding process
- practical trials with the injection moulding machine in small groups
- special types of injection moulding
Visits to companies using different processes
