Learning outcomes

Knowledge
An understanding of the "Nordic model" in cultural
production. You will get to know the different
funding possibilites in the Nordic sphere.
You realize the importance of art and culture in
society and know both national and international
networks in the field of culture.

You get an insight into the structures within the
cultural policy field internationally and get an
understanding of differences geopolitically
You can apply this knowledge by make applications
for international work and cultural exchange

Skill
You know key players who work with cultural
exchange and - financing
You can plan international productions
You can make a funding application for
international productions
You are an active part of the future of the field
and can also anticipate the operating conditions
and also affect them globally

You are a respectful part of the culture
ecosystems and understands the meaning of arts and

Course contents

Lectures, seminars excursions and reading circles
We are focusing both och the Nordic and the Global.
The Nordic part of the study unit will be in cooperation with
Metropolia

The first part of the course is in Swedish, after the 11th of October
the teaching language will change to English

Study units Cultural Policy and Cultural Heritage,
Cultural Economy
and Features of the Cultural Sector or, contact
examiner.
