Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give an overview of the study program and it's specializations. Yet an other aim is to give an introduction to information technology with emphasis on PCs, application software in PCs and computer networks.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to:
- have a knowledge of school's IT infrastructure and services
- to use school computers
- have an introduction to the operating systems Windows and Linux
- know the basics of text processing, spreadsheets and Internet
- understand how software is developed
- identify key components in computers and computer networks
- understand basic data security concepts
