Competency aims

The aim of the course is to give students the required experience and skills required for planning, performing and reporting any significant research project, and in particular the thesis topic.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
* get the opportunity to do the degree thesis for a company
* write & submit a research proposal for a thesis topic
* conduct a literature search on the thesis topic and write a a literature review.
* make a plan for experiments and analyse the data
* present the results in a complete and systematic manner

* Selecting a thesis topic
* The research proposal
* literature search and review
* patents as a source of information
* project plan for own thesis
* plan of experiment and presentation of results

Prerequisites and co-requisites

more than 70 % of the courses in plastics tehcnology passed (>150 cr)

Target for presence during lectures: 75 %. Deadlines for exercises and reports will be given during the lectures.
