Competency aims

The aim of the course is to give the student a
good general knowledge of the banking industry.
This course is intended to be taken as one
component within the banking module - having
passed the entire module the student will also
have a good working knowledge about services and
products offered by the banking industry.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to understand the structures
of
the banking industry, the role the industry plays
in
society as well as the regulatory environment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A general theoretical knowledge of business
administration or entrepreneurship is required
(5 ects basic level course OR practical
experience).
Students with inadequate background may be
removed from the course

Recommended or required reading

The literature will consist mainly of articles on
the banking industry. The full literature list will
be published in the course material.

The examination consists of 5 online quizes (25
points), 5 learning diaries (25 points) and a final
report (50 points). To pass, a minimum of 50 points
must be obtained.
