Competency aims

The aim of the course is that the physiotherapy
student is able to assess, plan, give
physiotherapy and evaluate the outcome for
clients with neurological diseases or injuries.
The student is able at the end of the practice
to work in interdisciplinary teams.
The student can work from a person and family
centered perspective and promote the client in
his/hers rehabilitation/habilitation process.

Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes:
The student can:
- assess, plan, do and evaluate rehabilitation
and physiotherapy for clients with neurological
diseases or injuries.
- can as an expert work in team, and together
with clients, relatives, other professionals and
rehabilitation organisations can evaluate the
effect of physiotherapy.
- can supervise and discuss with people in
different ages and from other context
- can critically look upon own practical skills
and is willing to develop oneself and
physiotherapy overall
- have knowledge of the ethical principles and
follow them in physiotherapy practice

vaccinations in order and TB checked
In case of the student have symptoms, it should
be checked before the student can begin his/her
practice (JYL2/2018)
