Competency aims

By the end of the course the student will be
able to:

Develop knowledge of the fundamental concepts
within problem validation, value proposition,
lean development process, design thinking and
demo creation.

By actively reflecting during the course the
student finds possibilities to utilize her/his
know how in real challenges and to utilize
multiple development approaches, to put the
knowledge the student acquires in school into
practice.

Develop their working skills as well in
multidisciplinary and international teams as
industry collaboration.

At the end of the course you are expected to be
able...
1) to develop your skills in problem validation
and in developing meaningful value propositions
2) to learn teamwork and team building skills in
a multidisciplinary and international teams
3) to understand the characteristics of lean
development processes
4) to learn how to utilize design thinking
5) to learn to build concrete demos for
validation
6) to learn industry collaboration when working
with partner organisations domain experts

Course contents

The world has changed, and it will affect the
lives of everyone we know. Everything is moving
online, and the demand for online content has
risen to new levels. It is more vital now than
ever that we don?t let people isolate themselves
from society.

We want to offer students a possibility to work
together within the global community and
contribute to meaningful foresight challenges
and progress their studies on the way.

Demola has designed a set of bold and complex
challenges and is now looking for talented
visionaries with a desire to change the world,
the ability to challenge the status quo and
courage to take responsibility for the execution
of a design project.

Two hundred (200) globally best co-creators will
be selected for this 6-
week program, where you have an opportunity to
work in a project with the
brightest minds all over the world.

Accepted students will work in 5-member
interdisciplinary teams and go
through a 6-week process, which is a combination
of Strategic Foresight
and Design Thinking methodologies. Demola
Foresight Experts facilitate
the process.

Student teams will have ownership of
intellectual property created during
the projects.

Participants will be granted 8 ECTS credit
points through Finnish Higher Education System*
and a certificate from Demola Global.

Students participating in this course will get
