Competency aims

The aim of the course is to provide the student with an understanding of the logistical perspective of a supply chain.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student should see the value of logistics in a supply chain.
The student should be able to explain the competitive advantage that is reached by logistical systems.
The student must understand the importance of the customer and the service level.
The student must know the basic elements of the flow of goods, capital and information between the actors in the chain.
Further the student should be able to use central logistical cost and performance measurements.
