Competency aims

The aim of the course is:
- to learn how to identify patients with acute
illness
- to be able to provide prehospital care to the
patients

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to:
- understand acute illnesses mechanisms
- examin of the patient
- provide prehospital care to the patient at
advanced level
- understand the process of care and meet the
patient

Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) 12,5 sp
Clinical pharmacology 1,5 sp
Disection / obduction 1sp

Anatomy, physiology and chemistry
Paramedic Science 1 and 2

None

Additional information

The student must have passed Paramedic Science 1
and 2 before this course.
Part of the course will be studied together with
medical students.
