Competency aims

The aim of the course is to introduce the student to digital business and e-commerce. Different concepts, strategies, and skills are presented to help the student be able to handle the speed of change businesses face in today's digital world. Students work in teams and implement a webshop in a cloud environment.

Learning outcomes

- The student has a good command of the principles for order handling, shipping and payments in a webshop - The student is able to work in teams and implement a webshop - The student can identify business-critical processes - The student can define opportunities, problems and risks with e-business - The student can compare different business models for e- commerce within different lines of business - The student get insight into different business processes in a webshop from both a consumer and a retailer perspective - The student know how to sell online internationally

- Foundations of digital commerce - Opportunities, problems and risks with digital commerce - Business Models - Online sales, order handling, payments and shipping - Platforms for digital commerce - Webshop implementation
