- understand and describe various types of industrial companies active in the plastics business
- understand and apply key indicators for company profitability
- read and understand company accounts
- evaluate and apply methods for industrial marketing and distribution
- estimate variable and fixed costs for the production of plastic products
- plan the process and flow of a factory for plastic products
- estimate the investment in machinery and facilities for a factory
- calculate the profitability of an investment in production

- Company economics, accounts, profitability indicators
- Industrial marketing, distribution, pricing
- Industrial production, process flows
- Industrial costing, types of costs, manpower
- Break-even analysis
- Dimensioning and costing of equipment
- Investments and their profitability
