The aim of the course is that the student gets
basic
knowledge and basic skills in security both from a
technical perspective

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to
- control the basics in cryptogrphy

- analyze the security of computer systems and
computer networks
- be aware of the most common security threats on
computer networks and howto protect from them

Data/information protection

- basics of cryptography and secure protocols
- secure information transmission over the

Threats against computers and networks and how to
protoct from those
- Viruses
- Botnet
- Intrusion
- Denial-of-Service (Dos) attacks

Vulnerability analysis

Firewalls

Security of user accounts and information
- security of passwords
- user authentication methods

Secure remote access to computer networks
