Competency aims

The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of the common psychiatric disorders and care of them. The student gets knowledge in how to encounter people suffering from mental disorders. Furthermore, the student gets a basic knowledge of how it is to work in a team.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to recognize mental suffering. The student is able to understand and encounter people with different kind of mental health problems, the student is able to explore different treatment possibilities in order to relief the mental suffering of a patient. Furthermore, the student understands work team dynamics.
