Competency aims
The main purpose is that the students learn how to take care of the day surgery patient.
Learning outcomes
The student will have been trained in aseptic techniques, how to prepare the patient and the environment, and nursing activities. The student understands the necessity of counselling the patient and keeping the patient informed. The students will improve their ability to act as an instrument nurse, circulating nurse, and anaesthesia nurse. They can care for and observe the patient under anaesthesia.
