Competency aims

The aim of the course is to present the most common machines and manufacturing processes for plastic products, paying special attention to the conditions stated by product design and raw material.

Learning outcomes

Having successfully completed this course the student will be able to:
- choose the most appropriate manufacturing process for a plastic product paying attention to both process, material and product design
- operate the most common machines according to given instructions

Course contents

The most common machines for polymer processing:
- injection moulding
- extrusion
- blow moulding
- thermoforming
- rotomoulding
