The aim of the course is to give students the understanding to select the most suitable manufacturing process for a given component.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
- state the advantages and disadvantages of common manufacturing processes.
- describe common manufacturing processes.
- select the best manufacturing process for the production of a given engineering component.
- write G-code for the production of engineering parts in a CNC-machine
