Competency aims

The course provides an overview of developments in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Advances in ICT can enable business services with economic, ecological and social benefits through the use of "cloud computing" and "green computing". Students will examine case studies of ICT development in order to create a framework for exploring the strategic development, practical use and evaluation of the benefits from the deployment of new technology in a business environment.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student is expected to be able to individually analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies which are used in the corporate world. Students should also be able to produce a report that describes the analytical evaluation.
