Competency aims

After the examination the student is expected to be able to:

Biomechanics (book):
- Combine the knowledge of anatomy with the knowledge of biomechanical analysis and training.
- Plan appropriate operation models originating from the biomechanical analysis.

Learning outcomes

Biomechanics (book):
Understand what happens in the body during different movements (biomechanically) and can choose exercises based on that in order to develop performance or in order to train a specific body part. Understand the neuromuscular basis in different movements (e.g. how movements are controlled) and mechanical laws which explain the technical performance of different movements in sports. Has the knowledge of muscles’ positions and function, of forces, torsional moment, center of gravity, impulse, workload, energy and power, and based on that assess how and what should be trained.

Anatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics course has to be done
