differences of brand versus visual identity and
their importance.

- You have knowledge of the process by which a
brand and visual identity can be created
concentrating specifically on target audiences.

brand and visual identity creation.

fundamental steps in the process of building a
brand and visual identity using various techniques
and methods introduced throughout the course.

- You can do basic user and market analysis. You

use various digital software to create and present
the new brands to clients.

quality work through iteration.

- You understand the impact on how not only images

5. Stylescapes/Moodboards/Client Presentations
6. Brainstorming techniques
7. Concepting and Designing a Logo
8. Choosing Typeface and Typography
9. Color psychology and selection
10. Creating a brand voice and copy
11. Creating a client presentation
12. Understanding the basics of brand standards
and guidelines

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Introduction to Media Production or Introduction to
Design, or General graphic design knowledge.
Understanding how to use Photoshop / Illustrator and
other graphic design / layout software useful.

Assessment requirements

To pass the course the student is required to
finish the assignments & projects and fulfill the
80% attendance requirements. Absence needs to be
announced in advance via Itslearning.

Examination 1: Finished projects 40%
Examination 2: Tasks and presentations 20%
Examination 3: Deadlines 20%
Examination 4: Presence 20%

The emphasis is on the practical work done within
deadlines. Absence without notifying the teacher
affects the grading even if all tasks would be
finished within given timetable.
