The general aim of the course is to provide the
student with support and tools to purposefully and
successfully study at Arcada
Part 2 (3 ECTS) ICT Driving Licence
The aim of this section is to guarantee each new
student the opportunity to acquire the necessary
ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
skills for their studies.
Learning outcomes
Part 1 (1 ECTS) Student coaching
At the end of the course students are expected to:
- know how to use the Arcada information channels
- have participated in group tutorials with
supervision - reflects upon the aims of studies
Part 2 (3 ECTS) ICT Driving Licence
The learning outcomes are the same as for the ICT
Driving License at The University of Helsinki,
i.e. after having completed the course you have
the ICT knowledge and skills necessary for
successful studies and for developing your

The course parts are registered in one single
grade corresponding 5 cr. There are separate
course areas for the course parts on itslearning.
Part 2: The ICT Driving License starts with
compulsory level tests during week 35. The level
tests serve as prognostic tests. After the tests
you will follow an individual study path depending
on the test results.

The computer based examination is marked "passed"
when you have minimum 70% correct answers.
To qualify for the examination you first have to
pass the level tests in each of the five modules
with minimum 70% correct answers.
