Competency aims

The aim of the course is to build up a
mathematical basis for further studies in algebra.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the
student is expected to:
- be able to deal with real and complex numbers
- know elementary functions and their graphs
- be able to solve equations, inequalities and
systems of equations
- be able to apply basic concepts of linear
algebra, including vector and matrix algebra
