Competency aims

The objective of the course is to enable the student to prepare investment and financing calculations of the type needed in many small and medium-sized companies. The student will also be familiar with financing terminology.

Learning outcomes

The student will be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of the various issues related to the financing of a company´s activities. The student can analyze investment alternatives and calculate financing requirements as well as choose between different types of financing methods.

The student will have a basic understanding of some of the central theories of the financial markets (e.g. the relationship between risk and return)

The lectures will to a large extent be commom for students in "Företagsekonomi", International Business and Industrial Management. Some lectures or exercises will be separate to account for the different scope or focuses of the programmes.

A lecture by a visiting teacher is planned. Attendance at this lecture will be compulsory.
