The objective of the course is to introduce the student to why and how companies decide to outsource certain business activities
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
- identify the risks, problems and advantages involved with outsourcing
- have a good command of the principles of outsourcing especially for logistics activities
- describe the steps included in the outsourcing-process; preparations, offers, contracting, transition and administration
- explain quality concepts like product and service quality
- reflect over alternatives to outsourcing
