The communications department at Arcada handles e.g. internal and external communications, marketing of the UAS, student recruitment and graphic planning and design. An important part of the work consists of maintaining and developing Arcada’s identity, image and profile – Arcada’s brand.
Since student recruitment is one of our most important tasks we handle recruitment campaigns, fairs and study visits. We also update Arcada’s web pages and social media with both text and pictures. Many of Arcada’s news are written by us at the communications department. Besides the fairs we also organize Arcada’s events, such as the opening of the academic year, the graduation ceremonies, My Future Work and alumni events. We also develop web services such as Start, our external web page arcada.fi and the blog platform Inside Arcada.
We also handle contacts and relationships with alumni, media and other interested parties.
The Arcada building is a popular place for companies and organizations to arrange conferences, seminars and meetings. This is handled by Arcada Congress and Event, which is a part of the campus team.

Arcada’s official Facebook page is followed by more than 7 000 people. We consider the page to be an extension of our campus, and we inform about upcoming events and write news that are of interest to both current students and potential applicants.
At Arcada’s own blog portal Inside Arcada you find more than 30 blogs written by students, co-workers and alumni. All of our live-streamed events are presented here.
