Introductions days are held for first year students 23-24.8.2018.Introduction days for new students 2018
During the introduction days students get acquainted with the Arcada building as learning environment, their new degree programme and department, and get to meet their teachers, amanuensis and tutors who will help them get started with their studies at Arcada.
Thursday 23.8.2018 is for degree students admitted to our bachelor programmes in English, incoming exchange students and students starting their open path studies only. On 24.8.2018 all new students take part.
The regular lectures start 27.8.2018.
Opening of the Academic year
The opening of the Academic year is the most ceremonial celebration during the year. Invited guests are all first year students, staff and special guest as well as the student tutors. The opening of the Academic year is held September 5th in the big auditorium. After the opening ceremony all guests are welcomed to a celebration with entertainment and fingerfood on the big square in the Arcada building. All first year students recieve an invitation to the opening ceremony (with an r.s.v.p. link) to their Arcada email. Dresscode: Jacket.
Thesis Forum is part of your Degree Thesis and means that you after your Thesis has been approved, present it to your supervisor, inspector and opponent as well as other interested students and members of the staff.
My Future Work
My Future Work is Arcadas annual networking event designed to help students, our UAS experts and employers get together and form valuable contacts. During the day Arcadas Big Square forms a platform for interesting companies to meet their future employees. My Future Work gives you as a student a chance to find practical placement, a business partner for your degree thesis or maybe your first job after graduation. Next My Future Work is in January 2019.

Graduation ceremonys are held twice during every academic year. The following ceremonies are held January 18th 2019 and June 14th 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Arcada building. .
