Course contents
In the study unit, the student begins the
writing
of his or her Thesis. Final
examination of this unit consists of chapters
1, 2
and 3 of the Thesis.
The overall content of this unit is to provide
the
student an ability to be
able to plan and carry out an independent
scientific work. The student
should be able to apply and integrate the
knowledge acquired in previous
study units in order to investigate a specific
phenomenon of their own
interest.
Students are also given opportunities to
improve
their knowledge of
information retrieval, which is an essential
part
of writing a scientific
paper.
Finally, this study unit helps the student to
be
able to understand and make
use of the different scientific methods
available
for to investigate a chosen
phenomenon.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Third year students.
The minimum requirement to complete this study unit
is 105 ECTS (credits from work placements are not
included) and at least 30 credits in your major
subject have to be completed.
Additional information
The course starts the thesis process.
Active participation is required. When submitting
the
preliminary topic (and idea) within the time frame
informed in the beginning, the student will get a
thesis
supervisor.
All assignments should be submitted according to
the provided instructions. Students who fail to
submit an assignment will be removed from the
course and will be asked to participate in the
following study unit.

The student starts working on the final thesis

to submit an assignment will be removed from the
course and is
required to participate in the next course.
